Roma has announced that one of its iconic players, Francesco Totti’s shirt will be launched into space.
The 40-year-old spent his entire 24-year playing career with the Italian club before retiring in May.
On Tuesday a rocket carrying his iconic number 10 shirt, from his final game against Genoa, was launched right from French Guyana.
Francesco Totti scored a total of 307 in a total of 786 appearances for Roma after he made his debut at age 16 and led the team to one Serie A title.
He has been named as a director at the club.
Navas moves back to Sevilla
In other news, Spanish winger, Jesus Navas, has moved back to Sevilla for free after Manchester City terminated his contract.
Jesus Navas joined Manchester City from Sevilla for 14 million pounds in 2013 and mad over 170 appearances for the club, with eight goals to his credit. He played 24 last season in the League.
He made the decision to move back to Sevilla after Pep Guardiola made it clear that he was not part of his plans this season.
He won the UEFA Cup title with Sevilla in 2006 and 2007.
