Arsenal has reportedly rejected a 50 million bid from Manchester City for their striker, Alexis Sanchez.
Sanchez scored a total of 24 goals in the Premier League for Arsenal last season and will be out of contract next season. However, he has not hidden his desire to play under Pep Guardiola.
Arsenal rejected all the offers that were put on the table for Sanchez, stating that they would only accept a deal that includes, Raheem Sterling.
But Manchester City wants to close the deal for the Chilean player without any player exchange.
Although, Sterling, has started three games for Manchester City this season he is not guaranteed of a first team shirt especially after the signing of Bernardo Silva.
Sanchez moved to Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014 for about £35m and has won the FA Cup twice with the club.
Sanchez Is Staying – Wenger
The club manager Arsene Wenger had stated that the player would stay back and respect the wishes of the club.
Sanchez made his first appearance for the club this season as the team suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool but was replaced with 30 minutes to go by the club’s record’s signing Lacazzete.
If this deal pulls through, Sanchez would be second high profile player to leave the club this summer following the transfer of Chamberlain to Champions Chelsea
