Jack Butler

Mr. Jack Alonzo Butler, 85, of Mayfield, KY, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his residence.

He was a member of the Seven Oaks Church of Christ, and was a retired grocery story owner/operator.

He is survived by 3 sons, Kenneth Butler of South Fulton, TN, David (Brenda) Butler of Mayfield, KY and John (Myra) Butler of Kenton, TN; 1 sister, Novella Henderson, of Mayfield, KY; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Butler; his parents, Vodie and Rachel McClure Butler; and two brothers, Paul Butler and Phillip Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, with Bro. Josh Ketchum and Bro. Ryan Scherer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Mac has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Averett University. From Virginia, he moved to New York in 2011 to start a family and to work as a psychology instructor. Now, he writes health and lifestyle news for Beacon Transcript. Right now, Parker also works as a part-time voice coach.
