Hollywood A lister Nicole Kidman has hinted that she may have a fifth child, even though she turns 50 at the end of this year. The Australian actress said that her maternal instinct is her “strongest drive” and revealed that one of her youngest daughters would like another sibling.
Ms Kidman has two young children, Faith, six, and Sunday, eight, with her husband, the country singer Keith Urban. She is also mum to Bella, 24, and Connor, 21, who she adopted with former husband and fellow movie star Tom Cruise.
The Moulin Rouge actress, who now lives in Nashville said that one of her youngest daughters would like another sibling, but the other one didn’t. However she added that she would never say never. Ms Kidman has also said that she has not ruled out adopting more children.
However, in her latest comments, she seemed to be talking about having biological children. She said that her grandmother had had her last child at the age of 49. She also pointed out that her sister had six children. The actress is currently promoting her new movie Lion, in which she plays the role of an adoptive mum.
The movie follows the true tale of Sue Brierley, an Australian woman who adopted a five year old boy from India. Ms Kidman met Ms Brierley when she was preparing for her role, and said that they have now become firm friends. Ms Kidman was actually Ms Brierley’s choice to play her, and when the director Garth Davis told her that, she decided that she must take the role.
Ms Kidman described the movie as the “most emotional” she had done in some time. She also said that she had been touched by the response of audiences, who have told her how much they love the film.
