The chief executive of Arsenal, Ivan Gazidis, has called on fans to throw their weight behind current Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.
Ivan Gazidis further revealed that the club is looking to attract the best players to the club this summer after securing the services of Arsene Wenger for another two season.
Arsenal won the English FA Cup last season and Wenger will be looking to lead the club to Premier League glory for the first time in over two decades as the club failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League since Arsene Wenger took the reins at the club.
“I want all the fans to stand united and strong,” Gazidis said during a fans event.
“We have struggled in recent times because we are not united and everyone has different views. We need to understand each other and fight for a common course, which is the success of Arsenal Football Club.”
“I appeal to you, let’s unite and support the manager and the entire team.”
Low Transfer Activity
Arsenal has already secured the services of Schalke O4 defender Sead Kolasinac for free and has had submitted a bid for Lyon’s forward, Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal Wenger has also revealed that the club is currently discussing with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, who both just one year left on their contracts with the club.
“We are aiming for the best players in all departments,” Gazidis said.
“We have more scouts that we used to have about four years ago so we believe that we will be able to get the best players. We are one of the best clubs in the world and we also have a great following outside the pitch so we have to match with success.”
