Trash Talk Between Mayweather and Conor McGregor
The tax issue comes at a bad time for Mayweather as he is currently preparing for his boxing return against MMA superstar, Conor McGregor in Las Vegas this August at the T-mobile Arena.
The pay-per-view sales could lead to huge payday for both fighters but will most match the over $200 million that he earned from his fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015.
The two fighters kicked off promotions for the fight in Los Angeles at a news conference where they both trash talked each other as Conor McGregor had a real go at Mayweather.
“The only reason where he accepted to come out of retirement was that he needs the money,” McGregor said. He is in a tight situation and that’s a bad place to be.”
Mayweather countered his remarks stating that he had taken care of his taxes.
“I am not even worried. I just showed everyone a $100 million cheque that I gave not even cashed yet. So I’m as good as I can be.
