British boxer, David Haye, has been hit with a £25,000 for his attitude and utterances towards Tony Bellew before their fight.
The fine was imposed by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) and David Haye didn’t raise any objection after he graphically described the kind of injuries that he would like to mete on Tony Bellew before their fight.
The British boxing board condemned the attitude of the two boxers who almost threw caution to the wind at their press conference in London.
David Haye according to the website of BBBofC donated some money to a Southern Area Council three days before their fight.
Bellew was hit with a 4-month suspension
For his conduct at the ring side after David Haye’s win over BJ back in October, he could have lost his license if he had engaged in any more unruly act.
David Haye revealed that he expected a fine after his comments and hopes to return back to fighting after having a Achilles surgery.
“I know I went a little bit too far and if I need to pay for my comments.” I’ll definitely do that without hesitation.
Bellew was pardoned as he displayed an exemplary attitude after his suspended suspension.
