President Trump’s Son Met Russian Lawyer After Being Promised Dirt on Clinton

The President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., admitted he met the Russian lawyer after she promised potential information on Hillary Clinton

Revelations about meetings between various Trump campaign and administrative staff and Russian officials abound following a congressional investigation into the 2016 Presidential election.

U.S. intelligence agencies are investigating whether Russian hackers leaked Democratic Party emails in order to boost Trump’s chances at winning the presidency.

On Sunday, Donald Trump Jr. admitted he met with Russian lawer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016, stating that he did not know her name and only met her at the request of an acquaintance.

President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and campaign manager Paul Manafort were also present at the meeting.

Veselnitskaya told Trump Jr. That “she had information that individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee and supporting Ms. Clinton,” Trump Jr. said in a statement.

“No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear she had no meaningful information,” Trump added. “[My father] knew nothing of the meeting or these events.”

The alleged mystery acquaintance who arranged the meeting comes forward

Following Trump Jr.’s statement, music publicist Rob Goldstone stepped forward and declared to the media that he had arranged the meeting at the request of a Russian client and had also been in attendance.

Goldstone works as a manager for Emin Agalarov, a Russian music artist as well as working in the Miss Universe pageants.

However, Goldstone did not describe the conversation in detail or say whether or not he had told Trump Jr. that the meeting could result in him acquiring helpful information for the campaign.

“Once she presented what she had to say, it was like ‘Can you keep an eye on it? Should [Trump] be in power, maybe that’s a conversation that he may have in the future?”

Goldstone did not respond to further requests for comment, and Trump Jr.’s spokespeople have not responded confirming if Goldstone was the unnamed acquaintance or not.
