An unidentified person stabbed a 17-year-old teenager to death in High Street in Walthamstow, a town northeast London. This is the 11th death by a knife in the last two weeks.
Along with paramedics, police hurried up to the crime scene on Sunday night. They then found the teenager who was suffering a severe stab wound before they rushed to the hospital where the victim died.
Police found the stabbed teenager near Buxton Road after getting reports from youth who were in car park nearby a supermarket.
“We were called at 11.29pm yesterday to High Street, E17, to reports of a stabbing,” London ambulance service (LAS) said. “We sent an ambulance crew and single responder in a car to the scene. We treated one patient – a male – and took him as a priority to hospital.”
On Monday, the street was closed because of the crime scene in order for the police to start investigating.
“It was a fight in the Lidl car park. This is the area groups of young people get together. We have been asking police to do something about it,” Ahmed Ahmed, the owner of Netcafe, stated.
“A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. We await formal identification. Officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have been informed.” the Metropolitan Police stated. “No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Walthamstow’s dramatic incident comes after another stabbing occurrence of a man on Friday.
Known as Skeng, Rapper Crispin Siddon is a 35-year-old and a father of two. Siddon was stabbed to death during a fight outside a barber’s shop in Harlesden Street. He was in an argument when he was severely wounded by a knife and eventually died at the scene.
Another similar incident came 12 hours before Siddon’s death, a 23-year-old student was stabbed to death in Uxbridge.
