Police investigating after man found dead on train tracks. Authorities are investigating the death of a Shelbiana man whose body was found on railroad tracks in Pike County.

Kentucky State Police say in a news release that the body of 39-year-old Shannon Robinson was found on Monday morning, 18 July 2016. A preliminary investigation at the scene indicated that Robinson suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a train.

Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts pronounced Robinson dead at the scene. The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
